I am feeling so inspired reading other's poetry and interpreting their words with my images. One more for you. This poem is by Julia Barnett. I am mute
In your presence. My voice, though quiet Is usually strong. Harmonious and leveled Near you, my throat shuts. The melody of my thoughts Ready and ripe to offer wilts and falls to the ground. Near you, I grow fainter. Dissolving, in the shadow of your footprints. Laid bare, hands outstretched pleading, for you, to take the fruit. The shape of my person Tailor-made of good intentions bends. The edges of my body constrict Palms sweating nerves plucked I falter In your presence.
