Brenda Kelly is an artist living and creating in Cochrane, Alberta. She brings to life altered realities by combining photography, painting, printmaking and mixed media into digital collages.

Her first fine art photographic project was entitled “Alternative Visions from VCR” in 2017. All these images explore the transformation of the human form with the natural world. Each piece is accompanied by Haiku.

One of Brenda’s greatest motivations is working with other artists, sharing the journey and collaborating with writers, poets and creatives to transform words into imagery or imagery into words. Over the last couple years, she has met some wonderful wordsters along the way. She is always intrigued with the results when poets and artists combine their talents and when 1 + 1 = 3.

She is also producing pieces for a work called “Alberta Apparitions”. This series traces some of Alberta’s heritage through composites of landscapes, old buildings and ghostly images from our past.
